Descriptions of Chad’s works from comrades and clients
“Chad is a deep listener, creative out-of-the-box thinker, and bold strategist. Chad's commitment to economic and racial justice is whole-bodied. When we served together on the Board of Directors for Resource Generation, and launched an (at that time, 2014) unprecedented campaign to raise over $1 million to Black-led, Black liberation organizing groups across the U.S. in honor of Michael Brown, I found Chad to be fun and easy to collaborate within the context of very challenging work. He inspires me to dream bigger and to move from a place of deep authenticity. Interconnected with all of this, Chad is a supportive friend. If he believes in you, he will offer provocative questions that draw you to your well of internal wisdom.”

“In the five years I have worked with Chad it is clear to me social justice is more than a catchphrase to him. He embodies the fight to make our democracy work for those left out and checked out. Chad's passion and strength is empowering people -- especially those on the margins of politics -- to realize that they have power and can play a transformative role in changing politics and policy at all levels.”
— Eric Griego, Former State Director, NM Working Families Party
“Chad brought both exceptional skill in facilitating large groups, small groups, and 1:1 coaching, as well as, a sense of humor and grace understanding that racial equity puts democracy in practice, as it intersects with power at many levels. Overall, Chad is very down-to-earth, and matter-of-fact about the way he talks about race, white supremacy, oppression and the multitude of alternatives and antidotes to dismantle said systems. He fundamentally believes that one cannot change what one cannot name, and rather than going through lecture-style exercises "defining terms", Chad and his co-facilitator invited us to discuss how racism was embodied.
One of my favorite exercises that they led was the Racial History of Nevada, where participants created a timeline of race across the state, from far before 1864 and into the future. The exercise was eye-opening, thoughtful and represented just one way that he facilitated conversations about race. At the small group and 1:1 level, Chad had heart-to-heart conversations with leaders across Nevada who were stuck on various terms, or had questions about what to do differently. Chad was able to coach folks in a positive manner.”
