My 3 Functions = Organizer / Facilitator / Coach
I ask questions, lots of questions that tend to begin with one of the following: who, when, what, how, where and why?
I believe that we are capable of living and being something quite different than our current lives fraught with predicaments and perceptions of scarcity – while distracted by addictions to sports, violence, celebrities and war. I believe that we can live in right relationship with the Earth by adhering to the truth that each living being has dignity.
In order for us to realize democracy, we must practice dignity between people, see the dignity inherent in all flora and fauna, and cultivate dignity across the institutions and structures that determine our lives. And smash those that do not foster dignity.
That said, we seek freedom and justice so we must figure out what to do with ourselves today, this year, and in this lifetime. That is why —
I organize as a way of being a part of something greater than myself.
I facilitate groups seeking multiple changes across many layers simultaneously.
I coach individuals and groups seeking the other side(s).
I enjoy listening to answers but answers alone are not why I ask so many questions as I have learned that questions can change the mood-dynamic-conversation even when unanswered. There is still so much that is unknown and inaccessible/incomprehensible to us and asking open-ended questions is the best way that I practice that.
Organizer
I organize people to contribute their time, talents and treasures to justice and alternatives to the status quo.
Facilitator
I facilitate multi-layered interventions to foster racial justice with teams, coalitions, and networks that must transcend the ruptures between colleagues, foremost the rifts that occur between white people and people of color. One practice is that we shift our attention from racism to white supremacy.
Somatic Coach
I provide somatic coaching with individuals to feel into the spectrum of the emotional quadrant of who you were, are, and will be in order to relate with your own self and body. Intuition pulses within. I offer guidance to harness the wisdom latent, dormant, and largely unacknowledged inside.
